The steps of the procedure
1- First, fill out an ” Expression of Interest ” via SkillSelect
If you meet the eligibility criteria set out above, the first step in your process is to first register for SkillSelect.
This online database will allow you to declare your migration project to Australian immigration by detailing your situation, your profile and by issuing a visa wish, Expression of Interest. It may take up to 2 years to receive an answer to your request.
2- If approved, you will receive an invitation to apply for the 189 visas.
You then have 60 days to submit your complete application with all the required supporting documents.
Attention, there are quotas allocated to each position of the Skilled Occupation List. If the quota is exceeded, you will not be able to receive an invitation.
3- Gather the documents and send your application
It is best to start these different steps before receiving your invitation because some papers can take a long time to get.
For example, you will need to gather all the documents that justify your training (certified copy of your diplomas, programs followed, course content, etc.) and your experiences in the field (CV, letter of recommendation from your former employers, etc. .).
