Houston has always been an exciting place for me, not because it is a well-designed city, or has a lot of bars but because of its dine-out culture. With over 10,000 restaurants in the entire city, people living in Houston eat at the restaurants way more times a week than in any other American city. These restaurants represent more than 70 countries across the world. They have a very different food culture that has no matching across the globe. From ramen places to the food vans to the healthy choices, Houston has it all. The city has one of the best and diverse culinary arrangements in the country. People who love food and wish to relish their taste buds in various different eateries. So, book flights to Houston and enjoy the top-notch delicacies of the town. On my trip to Houston, there were a few dishes that were impeccable and mouth-watering. The restaurants and cafes get crowded from the morning itself. In some areas, you might have to wait in a queue to get your number. In the morning, most of the Houstonians rush to the restaurants for eating the breakfast Taco. With the help of a local friend, I got to know that Laredo Taqueria has the best recipe to make this dish. I went to the restaurant and waited for the delicious taco roll made up of tortillas filled with soft and juicy chicharrones, beans, chorizo, huevos, and salsas. This meal is filling, delicious and really authentic. It will give you a kick start right in the morning.
From there I went on my sightseeing expedition. My next stop during lunch was “The Original Ninfa’s on Navigation.” This restaurant has a crazy style to cook it, but when you have the dish on your table, you won’t be able to resist ordering another plate of the same meal. Take a cheap flight to Houston and relish all these tasty dishes in person.
My next stop after this was Alamo Tamale, which is located at 2310 Navigation Blvd, Houston. And according to the Houstonians, this restaurant is famous for its Tamales. This sweetish Mexican dish is prepared by steaming the mixture of shredded pork, Jalapeño, and cheese wrapped in the corn husk. There are many restaurants and food vans that copy this dish, but Alamo Tamale has something in their recipe that makes it the best. So, if you are planning on taking a flight to Houston then trust me, this place is like a paradise for food lovers. You can keep tasting different cuisines all day and still would be left with so many other options as well.
My last visit to Houston was completely a food dedicated visit. There were about 10-12 different cuisines that I munched on, and so many were left untouched.
